Accommodations for Students

The learning community at Emily Carr thrives when all students are able to do their best.

Students with disabilities or learning differences must be considered in the design and delivery of our courses and assignments. To this end, Emily Carr recognizes its ethical and legal duty to accommodate by affirming the rights of students with disabilities to have full, fair and equitable access to all services, programs and facilities.

Accessibility Services provides accommodations to the learning environment for students with speech, hearing, visual, physical, mental health and neurological disabilities as well as chronic health conditions, acquired brain injury and temporary disabilities. Find out more here.

A Safe Learning and Working Environment for All

At Emily Carr, we’re committed to providing a safe learning and working environment for students, staff and faculty. We all have a role to play in creating a respectful space where members of our community feel physically, emotionally and culturally secure. Discrimination, harassment and bullying will not be tolerated at Emily Carr.

If you are in need of emergency assistance while at ECU, contact campus security at 604.844.3838 or from any black phone around campus.
